Can You Build a Decent Website with AI?

Yes, in 2026, building a website with AI is not only possible—it’s easier than ever. In my entire 30-year-plus career in website creation, I’ve never told any client that creating a website would be easy. That was then; this is now.
Now that I’ve experienced an AI site builder, it is hard to argue against these apps when they cover all the bases that most DIY efforts in the past rarely included. After watching this space for some time, I’ve discovered several apps that make creating a decent website pretty simple, and today I’ll focus on the one I gave a whirl.
But first, a disclaimer: I set up a website and made some basic personalization tweaks. And it was amazingly easy. However, as with any website, you get out of it what you put into it. While it appears you can create a stunning, professional website with AI to start with, I'm not sure about the long haul in terms of growing pains, bugs, or technological advancements. As with anything technology, your mileage may vary.
AI Built Websites in Minutes
I told the app to create a “WordPress Help & Support website” for me. And this is what I got within minutes. Minutes.
All the basics any website must have, with relevant content that you can then customize to your liking. The “running start” framework is there for you right out of the gate.

Code Editing (For Geeks)
For greater control, B12 lets you access and edit the code directly. Most folks don’t need to go that deep (nor should you unless you are sure about what you are doing). Manual code editing is especially useful when you want to:
Publishing and Hosting
Every website includes hosting. With the free plan, you receive a default domain ending in .b12sites.com. For a more professional look (highly recommended), you can upgrade and connect your own custom domain (such as www.mybusinessname.com).
