Your Greatest Enemy? Yourself!

Be Smart and Learn!

Your greatest enemy is living up to your own potential!
~ Author Unknown

I speak with and type to very smart people day in and day out. These are folks who are successful in their chosen fields. They are smart, accomplished and run successful businesses.

But when it comes to doing business online — all bets are off.

They claim they are “stupid”; when they are not. They piece-meal what they want to deal with but expect the same results as those who embrace the online business environment. They state they don’t have the time or patience to learn what is required to succeed online when in fact that is what will be demanded of them.

When did we become so complacent or lazy that we don’t have the time or patience to learn? To learn! How can these otherwise smart people expect success without having to learn anything? Learning is how they got to where they currently are. Learning keeps you growing and energized — and more importantly keeps you ahead of your competition!

Why would these otherwise very smart folks make such self deprecating claims? Because it is frustrating to learn new things? Newsflash! That’s how you learn! It does in fact take time and effort, with a healthy dose of frustration along the way, to learn new things.

But wait… we live in a culture of “never enough time.”

Then, if you want to use the online environment for the success of your business — you make the time — to learn!

It’s not about being stupid; it’s about being smart enough to know you have what it takes and are committed to learning new things. You need to spend the time and make the efforts to embrace the information, skills and knowledge required by each and everyone of us who chooses to participate or you won’t stand a chance.

Online success is all about you. What you are willing to do. What efforts you are willing to make. What skills you are willing to acquire. What knowledge you are willing to embrace. What effort you are willing to put into learning what you don’t know, understand or have any experience in.

There is no software; there are no tools, programs or solutions out there to negate all that. The sooner you realize that your greatest enemy is not rising to the challenge of what you need to learn, only then can you live up to your potential! Don’t sell yourself short…

“Potential is a state of mind. Feeling competent, totally adequate, empowered — these are life-giving, change-bringing states. Whenever you feel inadequate, unworthy, not in control of your life, you’re in a minus state, one that drains away your best shots at realizing innate abilities.”
