WordPress How To: Tired of Comment Spam?
WordPress comes with a good anti-spam plugin, Akismet that requires an API key and can be a bit much to implement for the average user.
In lieu of this, why not try this great plugin that I have used on all my WordPress sites for years? Because of this plugin I have had zero, zilcho, nada comment spam!
WP-SpamFree WordPress Spam Plugin – Powerful Anti-Spam Protection!
What’s interesting is that I leave this plugin deactivated on my new sites until I start seeing comment spam bots hit the site. Then I know if they’ve found me, most likely so have the search engine crawlers. Then, I activate the plugin and never deal with comment spam again.
Why not try it out and let me know what you think? HTH!
At your service,
Judith
