WordPress How To: Look Like the “Big Guys”

I talk to prospective WordPressers every day. The first question that they always ask is “is it worth it to move from my HTML site to WordPress?” followed by “Can you really use WordPress for a regular site — not a Blog?”. To which I respond with enthusiasm “No doubt!”

See, if you have an HTML site, chances are you look dated. And even if you have a timeless contemporary look, it is highly doubtful that you have the functionality and social media tools required to compete in today’s environment with a static HTML site.

Add to that if I had a dollar for every client who stated the desire to “make simple changes” to their Web sites themselves, you can’t help but be enthused by this little open source application called WordPress. WordPress not only gives you the ability to make changes and add your own content, but it can make you look just as good as the “big guys.” I then go on my soap box about WordPress until which time the prospective client surrenders by saying “I in!”. But I digress…

So to convince those of you who are still “on the fence”, who are yet not sure if WordPress is the way to go, did you know the following sites are using WordPress as a CMS (Content Management Solution)?

WordPress can let you, like me, a little fish in a big pond, look just as healthy and tasty as the big fish. Not convinced yet? How about checking this article out: 30 Great Sit Using WordPress as a CMS to see all the great ways sites in every niche are taking advantage of the WordPress platform.

There’s got to be a good reason why they are doing so… So what are you waiting for?

At your service,
Judith
