Whose Your Mommy?
When times are tough, that’s when your marketing needs to get lean, mean, tight and toned. We don’t have the luxury of guessing or playing around to see what may or may not happen when marketing dollars are one of the first things folks look to cut from their ever decreasing budgets.
Here is one market you need to think about how you can tap into. Moms! They are many times the primary decision-maker, they are online in a big way and they are Blogging like crazy! From an article titled “Firepower For Convergence: The Connected Mom“, here are some things we know are important when it comes to moms online:
- On many consumer brand purchases, they are the primary decision-maker.
- They are brand loyal – but they try new things, especially when advocated.
- They are recommenders; they listen to recommenders.
- They appreciate “review” content.
- They are community-driven and have shown an interest in social media from its very beginnings — and now are there to a notable height. Once in chat rooms and on message boards, they now frequent social media forums, sharing online.
- They blog. Big-time — and often about brands with the motive of advocacy.
So what are you waiting for? Sit down and think of ways to tap in to the online moms! Are moms your market? How you can make these important decision-makers aware of your products and services? How you can make it an easy decision to buy from you? Create a review section for your site/Blog and invite influential mom Bloggers to comment. Visit their Blogs, comment on their concerns or questions where you can be of assistance.
This is a very powerful active online market for you to tap into and one that should not be ignored!
At your service,
Judith
