Below are the questions that I get asked quite often as well as the corresponding answers for your reading pleasure. This is information you need to know before contacting me about your project.

 

  • What type of concierge consulting do you offer?

    My concierge services focus on consulting new businesses as well as established programs by offering my 17 years of proven online knowledge, experience and expertise.

    Having a unique methodology that caters to those astute business owners that desire the personalize support and exclusive access to an established and seasoned professional clearly sets me apart. This approach allows me to focus on those business owners that understand the importance of what I can bring to their project.

    I specialize in WordPress integration (I no longer entertain static HTML site requests) as WordPress brings the benefits and interactivity of Social Media and the Web 2.0 world to your program. WordPress also puts the power and ability to maintain and grow your site in your own hands so that you have the best chance for success in the über competitive online environment.

  • Why work with you?

    At this point in time I am reminded of when I first started out… After being in business for years, all of a sudden everyone was a “Web Designer” simply because they had FrontPage software and knew just a teeny bit more than their victims clients. Now, with WordPress becoming a household word and mainstream, WordPress Consultants are popping up more than the frogs on my lakefront!

    After 17 years in the online consulting business (and working with WordPress since it was born over 8 years ago before it was the latest thing), I am in the enviable position of not having to cater to hypey-sales-pitchy approaches to gain new clients.

  • What is included in your packages?

    You can view my WordPress setup packages here.

    My packages are based on what clients have asked for most combined with what I know are the features you need to compete. I outline in detail what features, functionality and support are included. Adding of content and products is easily accomplished by the site owner through the WordPress Dashboard without having to know any code or have any programming skills.

    Therefore, the addition of your content or products is at additional charge if you prefer to have me to do data entry for you.

    Additional charges will also be incurred by requesting features, functionality or customizations beyond that which is detailed in each package offering.

    Charges are not incurred without the site owners approval in advance on integration/implementation.

  • How much will my project cost?

    That depends on what package you choose, combined with any additional work you may commission me to handle on your behalf. Rarely do clients incur additional charges beyond that of their chosen package and if they do, they approve those charges in advance before they are incurred. I treat your wallet as if it were my own!

    What my WordPress Setup packages do not include is the migration of your current non-WordPress-content as that is a simple task you can handle yourself by copy-n-pasting from your old site into your new WordPress site once everything is set up for you. This methodology caters to site owners who are on a budget and want to be involved. WordPress’ popularity is due to being user friendly which allows you to enter your information without having to know any code.

  • Are you available after business hours?

    No, I am not. My business hours are Monday-Friday, 9a-5p Central Time.

  • What are your fees?

    For all-inclusive concierge consulting, fees are based on time required to accomplish a task @ $95.00/hour. One hour in advance needs to be purchased to be added to my schedule.

  • How much of a deposit is required?

    New site projects, depending on package chosen, require a $250-500 deposit to reserve a spot in my production schedule. For all-inclusive concierge consulting requirements an hour in advance needs to be purchased before any work/consulting will commence.

    Being new project opportunities are limited, your deposit ensures your placement on my active client list. By getting your deposit in place, your account is then in queue to receive priority status.

    I offer superior personalized support to each of my client’s, therefore, it is critical for time-management purposes and customer service levels that I be able to identify those potential clients who have made a commitment to their project as well as our partnership.

  • What forms of payment do you accept and how do you invoice?

    WordPress Girl Friday Help and Support:

    • Your $24.95 support ticket fee needs to be paid before your ticket is put into queue for resolution. You can use any credit card you like through PayPal (PayPal account not required!).

    All-inclusive Concierge Consulting Services:

    • Visa, MasterCard or PayPal — with an hour in advance required.
    • Personal or company checks are not accepted.
    • Terms are “Due Upon Receipt”.
    • Fees are non-negotiable and I don’t barter.

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY PROJECT TO LAUNCH?

    From my side, your project will be ready within 30 days! Delays will only be due to you not providing the information I need to develop your project per your guidelines.

    IMPORTANT: Once you submit your project deposit, your project’s package balance will be due once my job is completed or 30 days from the date of your deposit submission — whichever occurs first.

  • Can you help me learn how to setup, use and modify WordPress and it’s features?

    Sure can! Check out my WordPress 101 iClass and WordPress SEO iClass.

    And, now with my WordPress Girl Friday Support site, you too can have a WordPress Expert on call on a case-by-case basis! I currently work with a diverse group of Web developers who put me on retainer for help and troubleshooting WordPress knowing I am only a phone call or e-mail away when they need assistance.

    You have to be comfortable with HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript and of course know WordPress in and out to be able to customize WordPress to your own unique requirements, vision or desires. Until you reach that comfort level, I am here to offer the necessary WordPress Help and Support.
