Christmas in September?
If you have an eStore or want to be able to sell online during the upcoming holiday season you need to be on top of this now! As of today there are only 107 days until Christmas!
I am actually seeing ads from providers to setup your new eStore today to sell this Holiday Season. Good luck with that unless you really know what you are doing! For one you simply will not have good search engine rankings in time to be found. Considering most folks are starting to shop now and you have to ship before say December 14th — your time is very limited!
Here are three things to think about:
- New eStore: How will you get found? Plan on having a pretty good PPC budget or spending a ton of time online marketing and networking to participate this season. Better yet, plan on doing both!
- Established eStore: Do have your plans in place to “Holidize” your site? By this I mean holiday graphical accents, specials and sales.
- New and Established eStores: You need to have your holiday shipping schedule, policies and deadlines in front of customers to avoid any bad experiences.
While it may seem to some that I am jumping the gun here, I can tell you from experience you need the next month or so to properly plan and integrate to ensure you have all the bases covered and everything in place to have a successful Holiday Season.
