Be Well, Do Good, and Kick Butt…

The title of this post reflects the last words in Guy Kawasaki’s new book Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds and Actions which hits the shelves today.

I’ve read many of Guy’s other books and am an avid follower. I was sent an advanced copy of his book to review; a book I read in one sitting (with the exception of a break for dinner.) Guy is the epitome of his title — he is an enchanter! And when I read that last line, I smiled — then realized with disappointed that the experience was over.

Reading this book is an experience… You’ll find yourself wanting to fold over every page corner, take notes and to jot down new inspired ways to integrate what he intimates is part of being enchanting. And, you will find yourself being enchanted in such a way that you can’t wait to get to the business of — enchanting others.

Enchantment confirmed that how I’ve approached building my business for the past 16 years is one of the reasons I’ve survived longer than most. People like doing business with people they like — and trust. They like being talked to — not at. They like to feel that you are a friend they can trust with their best interests at heart.Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds and Actions

Enchanting means “to delight to a high degree”. So you can see how enchanting clients, suppliers, associates, bosses, employees and even those you just met can separate you from all the noise. In today’s technology dominated environment we rely on tools, programs and solutions to accomplish this for us when in fact, with a little help from Guy you’ll realize you have in you all it takes to be enchanting.

Throughout Enchantment, Guy walks you through all the little things we don’t give much thought to but do in fact contribute to our own personal enchantment factor.

If you run a small business — you need to read this book (available at all booksellers starting today). It can literally provide you with a new path of thought that can then lead to success over your perceived competitors.
