Give Your WordPress Site the Royal Treatment

Content is King, Content is King, Content is King…

Who hasn’t heard the overused phrase “Content is King”? It has been so overused that it has pretty much lost its original intent! When that phrase started popping up, it went without saying that good content, valuable and unique content, well written and useful content — was King.

Now it appears as though many believe that any content — words that take up pages, self serving white-noise, gibberish, poorly written, non-useful, boring, grammar and typo laden content (with a ton of ads) — is King. Off to the gallows with you if that is what you believe!

Let’s Organize Your Royal Family

So you have your site launched, with a great looking Premium WordPress Theme, that you’ve taken the time to organize properly to ensure your site is user-friendly.

Then, let’s agree that your WordPress site has great content that you know folks can use, that is well written and sought after — but what if no one can find it? This is where we are going to mix up the Royal Family of WordPress Success a bit…

Marketing is King — Content is Queen

The best content in the world is for naught if no one can find it or knows that it even exists in the first place, right? That’s why Marketing is King! So be sure to read the following articles to get all your great stuff out there!

How does the rest of the Royal Family hash out?

  • Marketing is King
  • Content is Queen
  • Niche is the Prince
  • Social Media is the Princess
  • Unique Visitors are the Duke
  • Conversions are the Duchess
  • Partnerships are the Earl
  • Integrity is the Countess
  • Community are the Lords and Ladies

While the above is to make a point and a bit tongue-in-cheek, you can use this list to help you organize your royal family’s priorities. Take the above list and write down five ways you can enhance each royal family member. Then get to work on making that happen!

After all, it is good to be King!

At your service,
Judith

    Great post Judith!

Just love your royal family ranking. I will defiantly use this as reference going forward.

I still haven’t fully launched the WP site yet. Having an color issue and about 20 more pages to carry over then I will have to start relinking everything.

Seriously! The person/company that creates an easier way to convert a large static website to WP will make some major cash. It is a pain in a half.

    Hey, Karissa:

Good to hear from you and your usual kind words!

The good news about your site is that once your finish this initial migration — you’ll never have to do this again! ;-) After this effort, changing themes will be a matter of a couple clicks and tweaks — seriously!

Please do pop me off a note when your new site goes live, okay?
