Mark Your Holiday Email Marketing Calendars

I’ve been thinking about the Holidays for a while already. I don’t particularly like it, but I have to plan my Holiday marketing strategies and get them in place now in order to be prepared for the online holiday rush. I started reminding clients weeks ago to get in gear and get organized for this busy time of year.

From “Holidzing” your site to setting “last day in time for Christmas” shipping dates to specials, discounts and inventory, as of this date, you need to be ready to integrate and implement. And part of this preparation should include your e-mail marketing schedules and campaigns.

For those of you in retail, above and beyond my previous reminders, consider this…

  • Don’t wait until Black Friday to start your holiday email campaigns.
  • Be careful of dramatic frequency increases.
  • Don’t ignore Cyber Monday.
  • In the days after Christmas, go after your gift card dollars.

Classy and professional e-mail mailings help you to get the word out around the Holiday Season — and hopefully rise above all the noise! Go over to my email provider of choice MailChimp and get your program in place and ready to go!
