WordPress Creates Leaders!

One of my favorite Blogs to follow, which is definitely a WordPress leader, is ProBlogger.net. Recently one of the Bloggers there posted about what many fellow Bloggers struggle with in the course of trying to make their sites successful — following the so-called rules while keeping everyone happy. Sort of impossible, but as you’ll agree, we all still try!

The article in question was The Blah Blah Blah Blogging Rules. F It. What I love about the post is it does cover all the stuff you need to consider. But the bottom line is you have to know what works for you and be true to yourself and not worry too much about keeping everyone happy (in doing so you may find that you lose your passion and yourself in the process.)

This requires guts, focus and a dash of shuts-pah! It also requires you not simply follow what everyone says are the “rules” — it means you have to be confident in yourself and what you want to accomplish enough to weed through all the noise online and keep plugging away until you find the mix that works for you. And the fact remains that isn’t the same formula for everyone and it won’t make every site visitor happy!

What I enjoy most about my job is working with those who regardless of the frustrations, the challenges and what seems like the almost impossible task to keep up and remain on the edge — they still forge ahead regardless.

They are not lemmings; they are leaders! And they realized that sometimes, regardless of the “rules” that many blindly follow; in fact you can create your own rules that work for you.

While those with that “Leader Attitude” tend to be those who come my way, today I’m going to showcase just a handful of those clients who embraced WordPress for the benefit of their businesses. Yes, I’ve met their evil twins when they became frustrated or discouraged — but that did not stop or slow them down one iota! They continued to learn, to make note of what didn’t work, to try new things that did and continue to plan, experiment and kept marching forward!

The above folks are just like you. These are just a few examples of everyday business owners who had that gut feeling that there was something up with this “WordPress thing”, this “social media thing”, this “technology thing” and chose to do want was needed and rise to the challenge.

Rather than make excuses about skill acquisition, time or budget constraints and having to embrace new concepts, they became rabid in their desire to use every bit and byte to their advantage.

I’m proud to have worked with these folks and look forward to being able to work with more just like them in the year ahead.

Good job guys (and gals)!

At your service,
Judith
