How are We Supposed to Get One-Way Inbound Links!?

You need links to your site!I bet you’ve thought about this yourself! If link exchanges are risky then how do actually get people to link to you? When asked this question, my response is “it’s all about the content”. Have content worth linking to and the links will happen. Simple, right? Wrong!

While that’s the short and sweet of it, there are many other considerations that you need to be aware of, integrate and implement to get those coveted links that search engines, particularly Google, place so much value on.

What many I work with have a hard time wrapping their heads around is the fact that when online for commercial gain, everything you do online (even personal stuff using your business e-mail address and sig), with every e-mail, every keystroke, every post or comment, you have an opportunity to build visibility for your site. Which then can translate into links. [Brush up on your Business E-mail Etiquette Basics over on my BEE Blog.]

I’m not a big proponent of reinventing the wheel and don’t have the time to do so. It’s tough for me to dedicate the time to post here for you 3 times every week! So with that in mind, let me turn you over to a great article on the topic:

How to Build the Best Natural Links – Revealed by 6 SEO Experts

While this article contains a plethora of strategies and tips that you really need to embrace, the one thing it doesn’t offer you is time. Any level of online success will require your time commitment to learn new skills and spend the time online integrating them.

Only you can determine how much of your time is worth spending to contribute to your success; so spend it wisely. (Hint: It’s proportionate!)

Judith
